From bags to packaging: launch of flexible packaging

The CIF is inaugurating a new building to accommodate new machines and support the development of its new products, in particular flexible packaging, resulting from the technique of lamination which makes it possible to bond several films without organic solvents.
Leader in the manufacture of woven polypropylene bags, then in the manufacture of kraft paper bags, CIF has always diversified its offer to meet the demand of its customers.

“We are obliged to renew ourselves with the spirit of the times,” says general manager Olivier Steisel. He adds: “Diversification is, at CIF, a corporate culture”. Flexible packaging makes it possible to support customers in the enhancement of their packaging and in the enhancement of the product present inside this packaging.

It is in the new building with an area of 5000 m2 that flexible packaging is produced.
This new building accommodates 7 machines, including our latest acquisitions, capable of printing in four colors, of photo quality. Like CIF 1, the extension operates full-time, 24 hours a day, and employs more than 30 employees.

12 T are already produced daily in this new building. By 2025, the CIF aims to produce 45 tons of packaging per day.

The printing on the flexible packaging is of optimum quality and the proximity of the port of Tangier Med, about fifteen kilometers from the Spanish coast, makes it possible to supply the countries of the Mediterranean basin and West Africa with a very high responsiveness.
